Studio 1212 is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm! Artists at work!

Studio 1212 was founded in October 1970 by former students of William Pachner and is the oldest artist group of it's kind in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.  It is a non-profit organization and is limited to thirty members.

This close-knit professional group of artists shares studio and gallery space in Clearwater, Florida.  Sharing instead of competing is our goal as we offer monthly critiques and workshops.

Many of our members exhibit their work actively throughout the state, nation and internationally.  Members past and present are well known artists in their fields.  Many hold signature memberships in national watercolor and acrylic societies.

Art education is an important part of our joint journey.  On the third Tuesday of each month we offer an art critique that is open to the public.  Our artists join together in a warm, supportive atmosphere to try and help our members and others resolve challenges we are facing with our creative endeavors.  Often the room resounds with shouts of "well done", "way to go", or applause.

Workshops are offered that are open to members and the public.  Our workshops may include instruction on the use of watercolor, acrylics, collage or special techniques.  They are always fun and well attended.  Reservations are required and a fee is paid to cover the costs.

Our yearly "Holidays Are For Sharing" show offers a room full of art, jewelry, bookmarks, cards, paintings and much more.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale go back to the community.  One year we supported Suncoast Hospice.  Last year, a donation was made to local school art programs.

As artists, we often find ourselves isolated from the world.   Most of us work alone at home or in a studio.  It is important as artists to take time to explore new directions in our work and to share ideas with others.  A supportive, caring community of artists is a great gift.
